Hey how awesome. A great bunch of ladies turned up.... we all munched on melting moments (organic of course), berry cups, freshly made scones, all the while browsing the AWESOME Fair Trade stuff we had on display! WE sold over $100 worth of stuff.... not bad for a first start and considering that is 4 months wage for a Cambodian I am pretty chuffed.
Woot!!
I'm so excited because I have 2 friends on board to have another party.....
Here goes!!!

This blog has been started after seeing first hand the needs in countries not so fortunate as ours. I plan to sell FAIR TRADE goods and my own ARTWORK (www.impressionsartstudio.com) to do something to help. I am buying fair trade goods from Cambodia. I have a very small markup so the products are unbelievably affordable! Any profit I make goes back into purchasing goods or donations to the SHE RESCUE HOME. visit http://sherescuehome.org/ for more info!

Cambodian Apparel Workers
Did you know that the average wage per annum of a Cambodian apparel worker is $290 or $2 a day? (USD). We are so bloody rich here in western countries. While we pay over $100 for a pair of NIKE shoes here.... people work 12 hours a day in Cambodia to make them.... and earn so little.

It talks about how little it takes to make a difference. And about rescuing people from sex trafficking in Cambodia. Look. See. Learn. Go.
